And how does this application compare to Skype? What are its presumed advantages?

Also, it's not enough to use secure algorithms, the protocols must be secure. What protocols are used by Kryptos VoIP?

According to the folks at Kryptos, They are using 256 bit AES/2048 RSA encryption. Their servers are located in the USA, and only user names are stored. No call logs are stored, and cannot be accessed since the calls are ultimately routed through the carrier...Sounds great, but time will tell. The Kryptos App will be available for the Android later this month and for the Blackberry in February. JDL

I have been using Kryptos for about 2 weeks now. Great quality of call, and I have already had 7 of my clients sign up to secure our conversations.

Would this defeat the NSA - FBI spying operation? Or is this only useful for low level hackers and bumkin cops?
