Former Spy Quits Chinese Communist Party

ET
Motivated by love of China, disgust at the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and guilt over the system he had been part of, a former spy has publicly quit the CCP and urged his former colleagues to do the same.

Mr. Li Fengzhi, a former officer of China’s Bureau of State Security (BSS), announced his withdrawal from the CCP on Wednesday, joining over 50 million other Chinese who have chosen to denounce the CCP.

Li, now living in the United States, said that the CCP has been harassing and threatening him since he decided to quit his job as an intelligence officer of the BSS. But the harassment did not stop him from finally deciding to quit the CCP publicly.
